It has been reported that racetrack and casino operator Great Canadian Gaming Corp. is suing the B.C. Lottery Corporation for roughly $18 million.
An article by the CBC states that officials with Great Canadian have refused to comment on the situation. Chris Fairclough, a spokesman for the BCLC, said that the gaming corporation was “disappointed” that GCGC has decided to sue.
According to the report, Great Canadian has claimed that the BCLC had agreed to stop collecting cash from a trust account, yet did not stop taking the money, even after repeated GCGC requests to stop.
