More Meadowlands VLT Legislation

Published: March 2, 2010 02:03 pm EST

According to a report, on the heels of similar legislation submitted earlier this week, New Jersey state democrats have introduced legislation in the assembly seeking voter approval to install video lottery terminals at the Meadowlands

Racetrack.

For the second time this week, Assemblyman Ralph Caputo commented on the issue of expanded gaming at the Meadowlands.

According to an article on dailyrecord.com, Caputo said, "the public is clamoring for this. At least it's worthy of discussion. It's time to wake up to the financial reality of the day. Hundreds of millions of dollars are going out of the state because New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut are all drawing gaming dollars from us. This would be recurring revenue, not a one-shot deal."
