Crushing Victory For Wiggle It Jiggleit

Wiggle It Jiggleit was defeated last week when he made his 2016 qualifying debut at Dover Downs. He qualified again on Wednesday (March 16) at Dover, and the superstar pacer absolutely blew the doors off of his competition.

Wiggle It Jiggleit’s regular pilot, Montrell Teague, returned to the bay’s lines for the morning assignment, which was the final race of Dover’s seven-dash qualifying session.

The track was rated ‘fast’ when Teague and the pacing dynamo lined up in Post 7.

The heralded son of Mr Wiggles was something to be seen on Wednesday morning, as he sprinted off the gate and got down to the quarter-mile marker in :26.4, already seven lengths ahead of his closest rival.

Wiggle It Jiggleit paced a :28.4 second quarter and clicked off the half-mile marker in :55.3. He had opened up a 12-length lead at that point, but the career earner of $2.2 million in purses was just getting started.

The gelding had tacked on another eight lengths to his lead in the third panel (:28) and whizzed past the three-quarters of a mile marker in 1:23.3.

Wiggle It Jiggleit was on top by 20 lengths at that point, but the Clyde Francis trainee had more to prove as he closed out his mile.

Wiggle It Jiggleit came home with a :26.3 final quarter mile. He had expanded his lead to 29 lengths by the time he hit the head of the homestretch, and still had more in the tank.

When all was said and done, Wiggle It Jiggleit nailed the wire in 1:50.1 and tossed up a winning margin of 32 and a quarter lengths, just for good measure.

The Dover Downs publicity department has stated that the performance was the fastest qualifying mile in the track's history.

I would expect him to be ready to post a 1:46 mile on a big track, off that Qua. Scary...

A machine. One of the best ever. I would hate to race against him this year.
