His wasn't allowed to use a crane to get a windmill up in his backyard, so Maryland resident Ken Robinson utilized the service of a draft horse to become the owner of the first working residential windmill in the state of Wednesday, March 11.
An article by The Washington Post explains that with a crowd of almost 200 cheering wildly, a draft horse set in motion the pulley system that raised the windmill. Screws were tightened, an elementary-schooler pushed a button and the blades began twirling.
