It has been reported that prominent Down Under racing participants Shayne Cramp and Greg Cramp have been charged with race fixing following a 10-month investigation.
News of the charges come courtesy of a report by The Age, which states that detectives laid the charges on Monday, February 2.
According to the report, Shayne Cramp is facing six charges relating to allegations he corrupted a betting outcome, while Greg Cramp, Shayne’s father, is facing two charges relating to the same offence.
The article states that each Cramp could be facing a 10-year jail term if they are found guilty.
The Cramps are alleged to have manipulated betting odds and the outcome of races that they were contesting.
