David Miller became the first driver in the history of harness racing to achieve $300 million USD in career earnings on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Miami Valley Raceway.

Miller, six days removed from passing John Campbell for the lead in all-time U.S. earnings, required $14,123 USD entering the Tuesday card to hit $300 million and had picked up $7,730 via a second and two fourth-place finishes prior to the 14th-race finale. He then steered 11-1 shot Perfect Paradise to victory to reach the milestone.

After initially showing speed from the inside post, Miller slid Perfect Paradise ($25.60) back into the fourth to the quarter in :27. The five-year-old son of Well Said-Its Perfect saved ground through the half in :56.4, lagging behind pocket-sitter Housethatsantablt (Cam McCown) as the tempo quickened down the backstretch. He pulled back to that one’s helmet before Housethatsantablt popped the pocket past three-quarters in 1:24.4, leaving Perfect Paradise locked in the two-hole rounding the final turn. “The Buckeye” found his gelding room at the outside in the stretch, and Perfect Paradise rocketed up to catch Housethatsantablt at the line to win by a neck in 1:54.3. Sm Hugo (Sam Widger) was third. Chris Presley owns and trains the winner, who took his first win since June 2025 to improve to seven-for-77 lifetime.

Miller reached $300 million USD in 88,062 career starts, 14,903 of which have been wins. A Grand Circuit mainstay, the reinsman has won many of the sport’s most illustrious events, including 30 Breeders Crown trophies. He is the only driver to win five Breeders Crowns in one night.

The three-time U.S. Driver of the Year made his pari-mutuel debut in 1981, and he has won more than 200 races every year since 1989 and earned more than $10 million USD in 18 separate seasons. The 61-year-old Columbus, Ohio native was inducted into the U.S. Harness Racing Hall of Fame in 2014. He is fifth all-time in wins in North America and is fewer than 300 away from fourth-placed Herve Fillion.

Earlier on the Miami Valley card, Bridgeoverbroadway won her fifth race of the young season to tie Snowshoe Series winner Rbstenacious T and two other horses for the most wins in North America in 2026.

Fired out from post two in the $21,000 conditioned race, she quickly took the lead for Anthony MacDonald, placing 9-5 favourite Amazing Catch (David Miller) into the two-hole through the quarter in :28. After a leisurely 30-second stroll to the half in :58, the tempo quickened as the 8-1 Bridgeoverbroadway opened up by two lengths while trotting to three-quarters in 1:25.1. The first-over Stud Muffin T (Trevor Smith) raced side-by-side with Amazing Catch, but the pair never got into contention for the win as Bridgeoverbroadway cruised home and stopped the teletimer in a new lifetime mark of 1:53.4. Amazing Catch held for second, 1-1/4 lengths behind the winner, while Stud Muffin T finished third.

The win was the fifth in seven seasonal starts for Bridgeoverbroadway and her first since joining the Scot Davidson barn after her Feb. 4 start. Matching her on five wins in 2026 are Rbstenacious T, Lily Grace Hill and Ys Do It Right. The four-year-old daughter of Six Pack-Black Broadway is owned by The Stable's Bridgovrbroadwy group. She is now seven-for-40 lifetime. The win payout was $18.60.

The warmer weather, paired with a fresh grading of the circuit from Track Superintendent Jim Shelton, led to seven new lifetime marks on the Tuesday-night card, including the first five races of the night.

Trainer Heather France had a hat trick on the 14-race program, winning with Go Accordingly ($3.80), Secret Fire ($3.20) and Uncle Moneybags ($9.80). France, coming off a personal-best year in wins, is 23-for-82 in 2026.

Chris Page led all drivers with a triple while Trace Tetrick, Cam McCown, and Trevor Smith each had a double. Trainer Ron Burke finished with two tallies.
