It has been reported that the Cordish Company will today be filing a $300-million lawsuit in regard to the contentious action surrounding its efforts to get its casino approved near the Arundel Mills Mall in Maryland's Anne Arundel County
.
A report by The Washington Examiner explains that Cordish and a pair of its gaming subsidiaries are claiming that they were forced to spend millions of dollars to defend themselves from false allegations stemming from opposition to the gaming expansion near the mall.
The entities named in the lawsuit are the Maryland Jockey Club, MI Developments and Penn National Gaming, each of which had a stake in both Pimlico and Laurel Racetracks.
