For the fourth consecutive start, I Like My Boss scored a businesslike victory at Dover Downs, setting a personal record of 1:53.4 over an off track on a rainy Wednesday (Dec. 30).

Leaving from outside post eight for the second straight start, I Like My Boss was sent to the front by George Dennis and the Don Boss Vita–Wild One gelding was in control all the way for his seventh win of the 2015 season as he captured a $14,000 Winners Over Trot. Owned by his breeders, trainer Bob Shahan and Jimmy and Angela Parsons, I Like My Boss won for the 24th time in 50 lifetime starts, earning $329,680. The former Delaware champion at two and three was chased home by Spunky Jack (Roger Plante), I’m So Striking (Eddie Dennis) and the only three-year-old in the field, Indiana standout Bluebird Reverend (Montrell Teague) who was the lone opponent to challenge on the backstretch. The first three finishers were all Delaware-sired.

George Dennis collected one of his three winning drives by steering Keystone Ace to an easy 1:55.1 success in a $15,000 trot. The win was the second straight and fourth in five starts for the Yankee Glide-Balanced Action gelding trained by Eddie Dennis for E&K Stable and George and Tina Dennis. Myclaimtovictory (Kim Vincent) was runner-up. Joeyscash (Corey Callahan) took third money.

Another Delaware-bred, Go Byem with Jim Morand in the bike for trainer Les Givens, scored his third in a row, decisively beating eight rivals in 1:56 in a $12,000 trot for young horses. The brown altered sophomore by Impel Hanover-Go Sassy Go notched his eighth career win in 16 races while banking $90,490 for Delbert Cain and Nanticoke Racing. Winmando (Callahan) had just enough to hold off fast finishing Tidquist (Jeff Long).

Meet leader Corey Callahan won four races to increase his total for the meet to 72.

There is no live harness racing at Dover Downs until Sunday (Jan. 3), when harness action resumes for the first Sunday racing program of the season. Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m.
