Meet leading driver Corey Callahan hustled Monocromatic into the lead after the opening quarter and then led the rest of a 1:52.3 mile to win the Sunday, Dec. 30 feature race -- the $23,000 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap Pace -- at Dover Downs.

After finishing second and third in her previous two outings, a move to an inside post for Monochromatic was a plus as the Dream Away-Miss Ty mare completed her seven-year-old season with 11 wins. She now has won $158,285 for owners North State Street Stable. The Dylan Davis-trainee was engaged by Miss Annie J (Pat Berry) on the way to the far turn, but that mare could get no farther, finishing a tough second. Freedom Crossing (Ron Pierce) was third most of the way. Alexachase, riding a three-race win streak, was scratched.

Jeremes Sweetheart, driven by Ron Pierce, and No Bad Luck (Montrell Teague) raced 1-2 from the start in a $16,000 Fillies & Mares Winners Over Pace semi-feature. Jeremes Sweetheart, the only three-year-old in the field, held off a challenge from Madges Lil Fortune (Jim Morand) on the backstretch before pulling away for a 1:52.4 victory, her eighth of the season in a $123,023 money-winning campaign. Lorrie Please (Eric Carlson) was third. The daughter of Jeremes Jet-Fox Valley Evanna is owned by Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta,
