The Standardbred Canada website and Trot Insider present the annual Christmas tradition of listing the top 50 news stories of the year, and today we feature the top 25

.

As voted by you, the readers of the SC website, 2010's harness racing newsmaker of the year was pacing powerhouse Rock N Roll Heaven. The O'Brien Award finalist is the only horse part of two event recaps in the top 25, headlining the 2010 Breeders Crown and the Little Brown Jug.

In a year with a Racing Development & Sustainability Plan, a salacious trial with horse owner David H. Brooks, and a driver candidly discussing his return after battling personal issues, the story that rocked the industry most in 2010 came out of Windsor with the suspensions of Brad Forward, Gene Piroski and Kevin Wallis.
