Cordish Survives Zoning Vote In Maryland

It took 10 months to deliver, but the Arundel county council in Maryland gave birth last night to a casino at its

cherished Arundel Mills Mall.

The Cordish Companies, the big Baltimore construction company, already has a state license, but still faces numerous zoning permit impediments, which opponents have vowed to pursue.

The final vote by the council was 4-2.

Cordish is also working with the Woodbine Entertainment Group to get the highly anticipated Woodbine Live! expansion at Woodbine Racetrack moving forward.
