With temperatures over 70 degrees the DSBF two-year old trotters kicked off their Dover series with three divisions of colts and geldings and two divisions of fillies. Purses for each division were $20,000.

Two early non-wagering races started the program. The first division of colts was won by Rivers (Anders Bluestone-Stargazer Lily) breaking his maiden in 1:57 and winning by 2-1/4 lengths for driver Corey Callahan and trainer Nick Callahan. LGs Reed O Wen was next best and American Hit finished third.

The pacer is owned by the partnership of Stuart Chambers Racing, BCJM Inc, Divine Horse Racing and Cinbrew Enterprises LLC. Rivers was bred by Nancy S. Miller.

The second non-wagering event was won by Brenda Teague’s homebred colt, Tua (Kodak Lindy-Cecada) in 2:01.1 over Big Daddy D and Wolfpack Russ. Montrell Teague did the driving.

The first half of the Daily Double was won by Miss Timber Wolf (Anders Bluestone-Photosinfulsis) in 2:01.4 over Franky Doyle and Shes All Woman. Kim Vincent mapped out the winning trip with the Amber Tucker trainee. She is owned by Amber’s grandfather, Bobby Myers and bred by Ed Coblentz.

The second half of the double was the other filly division won by Our Last Penny (CR Commando-CR Penny Lane) in 2:02.1 for breeder, trainer and driver Rod Allen. The filly is the last foal of the dam, hence the name. Second was KJ Stolen Diamond with Larimar finishing third.

The final colt and gelding division was the slowest of the three and went to Text Command (CR Commando-Call Me Hazel) and driver Tim Tetrick in 2:01.3 over Canoe Trip and Brief Legacy. Steve LeBlanc trains for owners LeBlanc Racing, Doug Johnson and Glenn Dyke.

Tomorrow will be the first leg for the two-year old pacing fillies. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
