Four-year-old trotter Big Box Hanover 3,1:55h ($347,190), sold Friday on onGait.com and fetched a six-figure price tag.
Coming off a second-place finish in the Yonkers Open Handicap Trot last week for the Shane Tritton barn, Big Box Hanover sold for $121,000 to Katricia Adams of Pennsylvania. He was consigned by the partnership of Bruce Soulsby and Dalton Walls of Ohio.
On Monday afternoon, Always A Miki p,2,1:50.2 ($398,982) was the second highest auction of the week. The three-year-old son of Always B Miki, trained by Nancy Takter and consigned by Christina Takter of New Jersey, Goran Anderberg of Sweden, Herb Liverman of Florida and Rojan Stables of Delaware, brought a winning bid of $102,000 from Maine’s Joe Trice.
Locatelli 3,1:51.1 ($185,933) also leaves the Nancy Takter barn after selling to Anthony MacDonald’s The Stable for $93,000. The Muscle Hill three-year-old gelding was sold by Black Horse Racing of New Jersey, John Fielding of Ontario and Steve Heimbecker of Ontario.
