Hello In There made quick and easy work of her seven opponents in the $14,085 Fillies and Mares Class A-AA Pace feature at Batavia Downs on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Joe Chindano Jr. slotted her in fifth while Face The Shadows (Drew Monti) battled to the front in a :27.1 first quarter, but he had the mare out second-over behind behind Rightfully Mine (Kyle Swift) before the half in :57. Rightfully Mine dropped into the three-length hole behind Face The Shadows to save ground on the third turn, leaving Hello In There on her own in the breeze. But that worked out well for Hello In There, who blew by Rightfully Mine and Face The Shadows and crossed over to the pegs just past three-quarters in 1:26. From there, Hello In There swelled up and bolted home on top by 10-1/2 lengths in a 1:55.3 trouncing. Gias Surreal (Dave McNeight III) closed for second over Face The Shadows.
Hello In There ($4.28) is now six-for-26 this season for owner Galliers Racing LLC and trainer Ron Beback Jr. The five-year-old daughter of Western Vintage-Hello My Dream tallied her 17th career win in 71 attempts.
Hello In There was one of four wins Chindano had on the 15-race card. He also scored with Runrunjimmydunn N (2:02.1, $5.50), Lizzy Lite Hands (1:59.1, $9.10) and Mr Cool Seaeyre N (2:02.3, $15.04).
After no one hit the Pick-5 at Batavia on Wednesday, there will be a $1,126 carryover for that wager in the first race when live racing resumes on Saturday. The management of Batavia has announced that the pool will be guaranteed at $5,000 through the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program. As part of that program, TrackMaster will provide free full past performance program pages that can be downloaded (when they become available) at handicapping.ustrotting.com.
The Pick-5 at Batavia Downs is a 50-cent-minimum wager that starts in the first race. Post time is set for 6 p.m.
