Things are certainly looking good at the Turf Lounge, the place ‘where Bay Street comes to play’ for lunch, dinner and after work cocktails

.

Woodbine Entertainment Group’s popular downtown Toronto destination has undergone renovations to its main bar, a cornerstone to its dining lounge and private rooms.

"Turf Lounge has continued to evolve as an establishment over the years," said Yen Hua, General Manager. "As part of Woodbine Entertainment Group, our distinction is inherently horse racing, though our aspirations have grown to include becoming the premier fine dining establishment in Toronto."

The atmosphere exudes warmth and elegance.

Boasting vaulted ceilings and grandiose arches, the new-look bar is furnished with marble that complements the recently re-finished bar-top that is accented with ambiance lighting underneath.

Other new features include plush leather banquettes, fresh lighting treatments and spacious lounge tables for anything from business meetings to casual gatherings.

With a new look, comes a new menu, featuring a balance of contemporary and classic cuisine. With a Mediterranean influence, Chef Hans Vogels’ creations consist of fine seasonally fresh and sustainably produced ingredients.

"The recent renovations at ‘Turf’ are a reflection of our understanding that the means in which food and beverage is being presented in Toronto has changed," said Hua. "The fresh new look offers a polished and sophisticated feel, matched by our delectable cuisine and exceptional service. We consider ourselves a fresh interpretation of fine dining with the entertainment of horse racing."

With over 60 televisions in the lounge, thoroughbred and harness racing from across the world is simulcasted, including live racing from Canada’s premier racing circuit, Woodbine and Mohawk. Other sporting events along with up-to-date business news can also be found on the array of flatscreens.

Mutuel clerks and interactive terminals are present, offering ease of wagering for both longtime racing fans and newcomers to the sport.

In the heart of the Financial District, the Turf Lounge has become a hotspot for corporate and private functions as well as business meetings.

Turf Lounge has a little something for everyone and will definitely have restaurant-goers and racing fans coming back for more.
