The People's Republic of China will be the scene of legalized horse racing Saturday, November 29 for the first time in 60 years.
The news comes via a report on horsetalk.co.nz.
A seven-race program will be held at Wuhan and will feature 120,000 yuan in purses. Wuhan was a popular area for horse racing prior to 1949.
Bets will be modest and at set prices, and are being called a 'horse lottery.'
