Kountry Lane Standardbreds announced on Monday, Nov. 24 that it has purchased M Ms Dream following the star trotting mare's retirement from racing this past weekend.
M Ms Dream won the Indiana Sire Stakes Super Final at the ages of two and three then took her talent to the Grand Circuit to capture the Hambletonian Maturity, Dr. John R. Steele Memorial Trot and Miss Versatility Trotting Series final at the age of four, the Steele Memorial at age five, and the Steele Memorial and the Miss Versatility final again at age six this year along with the Dayton Distaff Derby and FanDuel Open Mare Trot Championship. She took her lifetime mark of 1:49.4 in this year's Steele at The Meadowlands.
M Ms Dream was retired with a record reading 37-12-9 in 70 career starts and earnings totalling $2,625,895. The Swan For All-Trading Places mare was owned throughout her racing career by Hillside Stables of Dundee, Ohio and Frank Baldachino of Harvey Cedars, New Jersey while trained by Henry Graber Jr. and Ron Burke.
M Ms Dream joins What A Bid Hanover 3,1:51.4 ($630,141) and McSeaside p,3,1:48.4 ($599,788) as the latest additions to the Kountry Lane Standardbreds broodmare band. Both M Ms Dream and What A Bid Hanover will be bred to Chapter Seven in 2026 and McSeaside will be paired with first crop stallion Louprint.
The purchase price of M Ms Dream was not disclosed.
