It has been announced that Cambridge, Ont. resident Jody Jamieson is a candidate for the United States Harness Writers' Association Driver of the Year Award
.
In terms of his seasonal numbers, from more than 2,900 starts the 33-year-old is currently hovering around 700 wins and is sporting a universal driver rating in the range of .365.
Jamieson has driven the winners of over $10.6 million in purses earnings this season.
The other candidates for the USHWA Driver of the Year Award are Jason Bartlett, Brian Sears and Tim Tetrick.
The 2010 USHWA Dan Patch Awards Dinner will be taking place at Yonkers Raceway on Sunday, February 28, 2010.
