Malabar Millennium Passes

The stallion Malabar Millennium, 12, owned by Mal and Janet Burroughs, was euthanized on Thursday, November 15 at Lindwood Farm in Greensburg, Pa.

The horse was put down due to intestinal cancer.

He won a Hambletonian elimination race in 2003 and was sixth in the final in what ended up being his final career start due to injury. The son of Malabar Man--Gleam had a mark of 1:54 and earned $71,581 in 12 career starts.

Malabar Millennium was retired from racing and arrived at Lindwood Farm to begin a breeding career in 2004. Due to his fertility he only bred a limited amount of mares per year. The few offspring he produced are good looking, solid race horses.

Malabar Millennium was laid to rest among a small grove of trees across from his paddock. He will be missed by many here at the farm and the surrounding community.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Malabar Millennium.
