Major construction next summer on the site housing Hippodrome de Quebec has forced the hand of the Quebec Jockey Club
.
It will present live racing at the Quebec City track in March and April next season, with dates still to be determined after consultation with the provincial horsemen's association, general manager Vincent Trudel said in a note posted on the Jockey Club website.
Only races for three-year-olds and older horses will be part of the spring programming.
This year's 20 live cards of harness racing at Hippodrome de Quebec were presented from June to September.
