A driver's objection was launched by post four starter Like A Glove's driver Marc Whebby on American Risk for action into the first turn when the winner was crossing to command but the claim of foul was overruled by the racing officials.
American Risk hit the double-digit win mark in a single-season for the third time in his career. With victories in half of his 20 starts this year, the locally owned pacer campaigned by Risky Bizz Group now boasts 52 victories lifetime.
The feature race was named in memory of the passionate harness racing participant Dan Mailman, who passed away this past June. Mailman's family members and friends gathered trackside to make a blanket presentation to the winner after the race.
