While a number of the regular faces from WEG’s driving colony were on the road, driver Scott Zeron shipped into Campbellville and made the most of a full slate of catch-driving assignments during Mohawk’s Tuesday
evening program.
Zeron, who has more wins than any other Canadian driver in 2010, clicked for five wins on the 10-race program.
He guided Aled Hanover to a 1:52 victory in Race 3 to get the ball rolling, and he tacked on wins with Lookout Dutchess (1:57), Kan Wire (1:56.4), The Machster (1:53) and Amazon Art (1:52.1).
With just under three months remaining in the 2010 season, Zeron has already notched career best totals for wins (439) and earnings (in excess of $3.1 million). Those numbers eclipse last year’s totals of 266 victories and purses totaling more than $2.1 million.
