Atoning for his break at the gate last week, Rockin The House quarter-poled to the lead and scored handily in a nifty 1:50.4 in Monday’s $22,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Rockin The House was pocketed by Schoolkids before Dave Palone sent him back to the front. The five-year-old Rocknroll Hanover-Donkeys Can Talk gelding was much the best from there, prevailing by 2-1/4 lengths over American Rage. Village Beat rallied for show.
Ron Burke trains Rockin The House, who vaulted over $300,000 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Howard Taylor, Judith Taylor and Ted Gewertz.
Palone and Burke teamed for three winners on the 16-race card while Eric Ledford and Brett Miller also enjoyed triples.
