After having made Canadian history on September 22 when she became the first female to announce a live card of standardbred racing in Canada, Dawn Lupul will be back behind the microphone very soon

.

'Think Pink' will be taking place Saturday, October 24 at Kawartha Downs, as the Fraserville, Ont. track will be hosting the annual fundraising night in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

All of the ladies in attendance that night will receive a pink carnation and be eligible for lots of great draw prizes. Also, the Mildred Williams Ladies Driving Series will be on track.

There are a limited number of seats still available in the dining room that night for a cost of $50 per person, which includes a program, $2 betting voucher, draw prizes, live music and $20 of the cost will be donated to the CBCF. For dining room reservations, call Lori Martin at 705-939-6316 (Ext. 236).

Kawartha Downs will once again present the 'Time Breaker Challenge' in which the track will donate $500 to the CBCF for every time the winning horse bests the time assigned to that race.

First-race post time will be 7:00 p.m.

Dawn Lupul is an extremely talented lady, who appears to be dedicated to this sport, and has the exact media savvy which is lacking in harness racing. Along with Kelly Spencer, this is a team whose talents should be exploited.

If only I had access to them when I was producing Little Brown Jug broadcasts back in the late 80's and 90's. Instead, I had to go with a kid named Frank Salive! LOL
Yours for integrity and transparency,
