Tyler Borth had the hot hands at Leamington Raceway on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 10), dominating the 11-race card with six winning drives.

Borth's first winning drive was with his own trainee in the second race, when he was fortunate to avoid an accident involving the trailing horses as favourite Toonie Teen ($4.40) prevailed off a pocket trip in 1:56.4 and widened to 9-1/4 lengths over Fine Credit (Garrett Rooney) and pacesetter Hello You (Drew Neill).

The accident occurred near the first quarter when Cant Think (Tyler Nostadt) broke stride while racing in fourth-place and drifted out into the parked out Riding On Sunshine, unseating his driver Ondrej Gois.

Real One (Andy Moore) was already moving three-wide at that point and got around the accident. Trailer West Coast Kid (Ryan Desroche) was interfered with by the breaker, but maneuvered through inside.

Riding On Sunshine ran loose towards the paddock area where he was eventually caught. Gois was up quickly on his feet afterwards and did compete later on the card.

Borth later guided a pair of winners from the Gord McDonnell stable, scoring with Cool Hand Lucan ($11.40) and Avuncular ($5.60).

The 2014 O'Brien Award Future Star winner was also victorious with Bluewater Beach ($5.30), Big Teddy ($5.80) and Mister X ($7.30) for Leamington's leading trainer Tyler Nostadt, who ended the day with four wins as he also drove his own trainee SOS Justified ($3.40) to victory.

Borth's six victories propelled him to the top of the 2021 Leamington driver standings, in a tie with three-time Sunday winner Garrett Rooney (27-27).
