Beginning Wednesday, January 7, Grand River Raceway will have two handicapping tournaments in full swing. The events are worth a combined total of $10,000 in cash prizes.
Qualifying rounds of the Winter Wednesdays Handicapping Tournament kick off at Grand River Raceway and its three OTBs, located in Kitchener (KW OTB and Bettor Club) and Guelph (Guelph Champions).
Both tournaments are free to play and span every Wednesday from January through March.
Contestants in each qualifying leg must select the winners of races two through seven at the simulcast track of their choice. A hypothetical $2 win and place wager is applied to each selection and the top finishers are awarded cash prizes.
The top finishers from each qualifying round advance to their respective $3,000 finals. The OTB finals will be conducted on March 18 and the track will host its own showdown on March 25.
