Having returned to the Down Under racing scene after an unsuccessful stint in the United States, Auckland Reactor is being pointed to a race in early February. His trainer, Mark Purdon, has commented on his form as he
heads into the test.
A report on stuff.co.nz explains that the Mach Three horse will be heading to the Ashburton trials this week before a pari-mutuel return at Ashburton on February 12. Auckland Reactor is being pointed to the $400,000 Trillian Trust Auckland Cup (March 11) and $1 million Christchurch Casino Interdominion Final (April 8).
The article quotes Purdon as saying that, "Everything is positive with the horse" and that, “he's done most of his work on his own and hasn't been asked for anything serious."
Purdon was also cited as saying that ‘The Reactor’ has his old streamlined look to him; that he is healthy and bright, and that there is no indication that there is anything wrong with him.
