Driver Marc St. Louis Jr. had a rough start to Windsor Raceway's Sunday evening program when we was dumped by his first race mount
, but the reinsman managed to shake off the incident and make it to the winner's circle a few races later on the card.
As the gate folded and the horses took off in the opener, Ashley Nostadt trainee Super Sting made a nasty break and fell from Post 3 unseating St. Louis Jr. and causing the trailing horse D C Judge, driven by Danny Johnson, to stumble and get hooked up with the empty sulky.
Super Sting was eventually collared while D C Judge went on to complete the mile a distant seventh.
St. Louis quickly returned to his feet and appeared to avoid serious injuries. He completed his remaining drives on the card and even managed to pick up a win with another Nostadt trainee, Dodge Mahall, in the fourth race.
