One of the toughest war horses of recent times, Doctor Butch will be standing stud for the 2023 breeding season.
The Art Major-Classical Yankee stallion, who will stand stud in Virginia, is known for his blazing young speed, perfect conformation, along with his pure guts and tenacity that has stood the test of time.
Foals of Doctor Butch will be eligible to Virginia's new sire/breeding program and both the $90,000 (est.) sire stakes and the $90,000 (est.) breeder series no matter where the horse is foaled.
This year, 13 two-year-old colts and 10 two-year-old fillies raced for a total of $180,000. There is an added $1,500 breeder award for any foal that goes a 2:11 mile. In addition, foals in Virginia for one year will get an additional $1,500. There is also an additional foal residency earnings match bonus pool of $400,000 if the foal stays for six months.
Semen is available for shipping anywhere in the world. Doctor Butch stands for a fee of $3,000 and $2,500 for Virginia residents.
