On Monday (Dec. 17) the New Jersey Senate voted 40-0 in favour of legislation that calls for $100 million in financial support for the state horse racing industry over a five-year period.

On Monday (Dec. 10), the New Jersey Senate’s Budget and Appropriations Committee advanced proposed horse racing support legislation by a vote of 13-0.

Sports betting is up and running at the Meadowlands Racetrack and Monmouth Park, and it now appears as though Freehold Raceway is ready to join the action.
