At the age of 83, many people are satisfied just to get out for a daily walk; some are even happy just to be alive - not Murray Cox. This owner and breeder of Standardbreds is still out working in the barn every morning, as well as tending to the half-mile track on his 800 acre farm near Rockwood, Onatrio. Having his name on the ownership papers of horses like Warrawee Vital, Love That Smile and Sporty Tori have also recently given him reason to get out of bed in the morning, but lately it’s a French-sired trotting mare, Goodgollymissmolly, that has added a spring to the step of Murray, his trainer, Josh McKibbin, and their driver, Bob McClure.
