HOF Legend

He was a mega-superstar. He was Tiger Woods, Mike Trout and Lebron James all rolled into one. There were Dan Patch whiskey bottles, shot glasses, cigars, coffee, billiard cues, etc.

His likeness was on a postage stamp. He rode around North America on his own train and went undefeated in 73 career races. To put it into perspective talent-wise, he time-trialed in 1:55 1/4 in 1906 - 53 years before Mighty Dudley paced Canada’s first sub-2:00 mile! And now, in 2019, he’s being enshrined into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in the Legends category. With files from the CHRHF
