It's The Little Things In Life

In a sport where it’s harder and harder to find good help, many people rightfully wonder where our future participants will come from. Well, after an afternoon of watching kids race mini ponies at Red Shores Charlottetown, trainer Jeff Gillis and his wife Sarah decided to buy a handful of minis of their own, prepare them for the races, and loan them to kids looking to care for them and race them. Now, Sarah is also working with Kaitlyn Wesley in PEI and Natasha Steacy in Ontario, to not only try and help mini racing survive, but hopefully thrive. By Melissa Keith.
