Leading up to the 161st running of The Queen’s Plate, Woodbine Entertainment is excited to participate in a Hockey Analytics Night in Canada (HANIC) online panel exclusively focused on horse racing and the pivotal role data and technology play in the sport today and in its future.
Scheduled for Thursday, September 10 at 7 p.m., the online panel will include live tutorials and demos on 2Minutes2Post and Dark Horse, Woodbine Entertainment’s new horse racing app that uses data and artificial intelligence to simplify wagering on horse racing to attract the next generation of fans and horseplayers. 2 Minutes 2 Post is an online portal that uses data and algorithms to predict the outcome of horse races. The tutorials will look at last weekend’s Kentucky Derby results and look ahead at predicting the outcome of The Queen’s Plate which will run at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto on Saturday, September 12.
Moderated by Meghan Chayka and Alison Lukan, HANIC X Horse Racing will also include a panel discussion with Chris Lush (Senior Vice President, Technology, Wagering & Broadcast Woodbine Entertainment), Pat Cummings (Executive Director, Thoroughbred Idea Foundation) Pete Solano (CEO and Co-founder of 2M2P), and Andrew Solano (Vice President, 2M2P and Co-founder) who will dive deep into the importance of embracing data and technology to advance a sport into the future that is steeped in rich history and tradition.
