It has been announced that those that are planning to head out to Hanover Raceway for the track’s final 2014 program of live racing on Saturday will have the chance to meet a RUS Ontario Standardbred up close.
Hanover has announced that thanks to Lee and Erin Watson, fans will be able to get up close and personal with Tragically Shipp.
The eight-year-old gelded son of Shipps Speed has only raced eight times this summer, although one of those wins was in a racing under saddle event, the $2,700 International Trot at Grand River Raceway. He also competed in the Preferred 3 Category at Hanover this year.
Racing fans can pet or take a selfie with Tragically Shipp starting at 7 p.m.
First-race post time for Hanover’s Saturday card is 7:15pm.
