Joyce Taylor Passes; Arrangements Set

Trot Insider has learned that Standardbred Canada member Joyce Taylor of Clinton, Ontario passed away Saturday, September 22, at the age of 72.

Joyce was not only a standardbred owner, but she was a long serving Field Representative for Standardbred Canada at racetracks in Clinton, Hanover, Goderich, Woodstock, and London. She then took on Grand River Raceway, but slowly cut back to just her home track in Clinton.

Joyce was the mother of horsemen Paul Taylor and the late Robert Taylor, and wife of the late Ken Taylor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Clinton Cemetery on Tuesday September 25 at 11:30 a.m. with The Reverend Karine Farmer of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Clinton officiating. Immediately following, all are invited to attend a reception and celebration of Joyce's life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Clinton Branch No. 140, 95 Kirk St. in Clinton 12 noon until 2:30 p.m.

Those wishing to give donations in memory of Joyce are asked to consider the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, St. Paul's Anglican Church, London Regional Cancer Centre or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada as expressions of sympathy. At this difficult time may you find confort in knowing that

Mom and I were very saddened to hear about Joyce, she was a treasure.
Joyce also trained me as a Field Rep many years ago at Greenwood.
Joyce was like a second Mom to alot of us.
