Pet Drive At Harrington

Harrington Raceway and several leading drivers will team up with the Kent County SPCA to present 'Pet Adoption Day' at the track on Sunday, September 19.

Last year’s inaugural fundraiser proved to be very successful for the Kent County SPCA, as more than 7,000 pounds in pet food donations were collected and $11,000 in donations.

Representatives from the SPCA will be at the track September 19 and will be located in the first-floor grandstand lobby with pets looking for a good home.

Racing fans are encouraged to visit the pets seeking a home and to bring along pet food or a pet food gift card for donation to the shelter. For each bag, box, can or gift card, fans get an entry in a drawing for BONZ, Harrington’s luxury restaurant. Second prize is a ride in the track’s starting gate, for a rare view of the races. Additional prizes are expected to be added closer to the event.
