It has been reported that Standardbred breeder/owner Jack Hood of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 6 after being involved in a car accident a day prior.
News of Hood’s passing has come via an article by The Times of Northwest Indiana, which states that Hood, 74, was involved in an accident which occurred just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5 on U.S. 421 near LaPorte County Road 300 North.
The report cites local police as saying that Hood was taken to hospital and later airlifted to another hospital before succumbing to his injuries.
