It will be a stakes-filled day at Inverness Raceway on Sunday (August 8) as a total of seven Atlantic Sires Stakes events are slated for the afternoon race card.
Two 'A' divisions of the three-year-old pacing fillies will each go for a $9,760 purse as the fillies battle it out for Atlantic Sires Stakes points in their third meeting this race season. Two of the top leading point earners, Mystifying and Tobins Brownie, have drawn into the same division and will no doubt put on a good battle on Sunday. There is also one 'B' Division racing for $3,000.
The three-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes pacing colts will also meet in two 'A' Divisions and two 'B' Divisions. The colts are in short but competitive fields. Dusty Lane Goliath comes in off a track record performance at Exhibition Park Raceway and meets up with Woodmere Alvin in the first $8,160 'A' division. The second 'A' division has Elliot Moose and Woodmere Stealdeal as the program favourites. There are two 'B' Divisions of pacing colts racing for $3,000.
