The catalogue for the 2025 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale is now available online.

It may be viewed or downloaded at lexingtonselected.com and on the EquineLine Sales Catalog app. The print catalogue will be mailed later this week.

The sale will be held as usual at the beautiful and spacious Fasig-Tipton Newtown paddocks. For those unable to attend, the sale will be live streamed with live bidding offered at proxibid.com.

The yearling auction, which produced the winners of five of the last six renewals of the $1 million USD Hambletonian and two of the last three Hambletonian Oaks, gets underway on Monday, Sept. 29, with a 7 p.m. start time. The sale continues Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, with afternoon sessions beginning at 1 p.m., then concludes Friday, Oct. 3, with that final session getting underway at 7 p.m.

According to sale co-managers David Reid and Bruce Brinkerhoff, this fall’s renewal offers another power-packed catalogue from beginning to end that included yearlings eligible to all major jurisdictions.

“Year after year, it’s the overall depth of the catalogue that’s impressive,” said Reid. “Our consignors represent the best breeding operations in the sport and have once again supplied us with an outstanding group of yearlings with the most diverse pedigrees to be offered anywhere.

“There’s quality selling every session at every price point. Included in the 911 yearling cataloged are yearlings eligible to a wide array of sire stakes programs, including 526 dual-eligible and an additional 23 which are triple-eligible. All of the sports leading sires are heavily represented, including yearlings by leading sires Chapter Seven, Walner, Captaintreacherous, Sweet Lou, etc., as well as the young and exciting sires Captain Corey, Bulldog Hanover, Cattlewash, Ready For Moni, etc. In addition, we have a nice representation of yearlings from the first crop of Alrajah One IT, Back Of The Neck, Cuatro De Julio, Ecurie D, King Of The North, Monte Miki, Pebble Beach, Rebuff and Temporal Hanover.”

Brinkerhoff added, “Our sales graduates speak for themselves, including Multiple Dan Patch and Breeders Crown Champions, and multiple million-dollar winners year after year. This year’s sale includes 390 yearlings which are the first or second foal from the mare, showing strength in young and vibrant families. Breeders have reinvested, and it shows.”

As it has been for years, the yearling sale is bookended by two weekends of major stakes racing at the Red Mile, and that combination makes up what Reid calls “the Lexington experience.”

“There’s nothing like it in all of harness racing,” he said. “Lexington is the sport’s No. 1 destination, and for good reason.”
