Spaces are still available for the fourth annual Racetrack Chaplaincy of Canada Golf tournament, sponsored and hosted by Luc and Anita Ouellette, which will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at the Granite Ridge

Golf Course in Milton, Ont.

Lunch will be served at noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the men's and women's longest drive, closest to the pin, beat the pro and putting contest. There will also be a live and silent auction, 50/50 draw and raffle.

This year a new contest has been added to the line-up -- a hole-in-one contest where each registered golfer will have a chance to win a new vehicle sponsored by Hunt Chrysler/Jeep in Milton. The first person to score a hole-in-one on the designated hole will win a vehicle valued at $25,000.

Among the auction items for this year’s tournament are three platinum seats to a Toronto Raptors game, a framed picture from the Hall of Fame in Lexington and a framed picture from award-winning photographer Dave Landry.

If you would like to participate this year, please contact Chaplain Ken Carter at (905) 854-6146, Robert Coole (443) 566-0206, Sandra Monk (905) 569-3125 or Anne Phillips at (519) 658-1418.

A noble cause. I tip my hat to the Ouellettes for sponsoring this event. Chaplain Carter's visits to my barn were always welcome and I know from personal experience that he does important and very good work. May God bless you all.
