The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) would like to remind all owners and trainers that the Home Grown Pace and Garden State Trot will take place at Freehold Raceway in September.
The Garden State Trot is for New Jersey-sired trotters. Three-year-old colts will race on Thursday, Sept. 12 and three-year-old fillies will go on Thursday, Sept. 19. Both divisions will have a purse of $50,000 USD. Click here for a list of eligibles.
The Home Grown Pace is for New Jersey-sired, New Jersey Standardbred Development Fund eligibles and New Jersy-foaled pacers who were nominated as yearlings. Three-year-old fillies will race on Thursday, Sept. 19 while the three-year-old colts will go on Saturday, Sept. 21. The races will have a purse of $40,000 each.
