This is sad..the only harness
This is sad..the only harness racing fair here in Ontario is being run out in Oshweken..What happened to the Markham Fairgrounds which has a nice racetrack that's never been used & seems that the board members decided to pull harness racing from the fair for no reason..there are small stables to keep the horses..tons of room to seat people & wagering...same goes with Port Perry..Orono..Lindsay..& so on & so on...these tracks were the "staples" for all fall fairs & they've all but vanished...I think it's time something is done to bring back harness racing to Ontario fairs...they run an incredible fair season in the USA & Anthony McDonald knows all about that since he runs some of his stable down there..wish Anthony could do something here & bring some life back to our fairs once again..Thanks to the members out in Oshweken for putting this on..
