OHHA Announces 2009 Scholarship Winners

The Ontario Harness Horse Association has announced the winners of the 2009 OHHA Scholarships

.

For the fourth year in a row OHHA has awarded six scholarships to children of active, participating OHHA members that will be entering their first year of full-time undergraduate studies leading to a first post-secondary certificate or diploma.

The winning applicants are chosen on the basis of academic achievement and financial need.

This year's winners for the university scholarships are:

  • Brandi Sparling (Mt Brydges, Ont.), who will be attending the University of Guelph;
  • Meghan Core (Sarnia, Ont.), who will be attending the University of Western Ontario;

  • Bryce Cochrane (Orono, Ont.), who will be attending the University of Ontario Institute of Technology

The winners of the college scholarships are:

  • Matthew O’Brian (Dundas, Ont.), who will be attending Mohawk College;
  • Jennifer Emann (Arthur, Ont.), who will attending the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus;
  • Matthew Kitchen (Princeton, Ont.), who will also be attending the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus.
