It has been reported that a $7-million expansion at Vernon Downs will commence tomorrow at the seven-eighths mile New York State racetrack
.
A release by VIP Structures states that the project will include a new flexible banquet facility capable of hosting several small gatherings or a single event for up to 400 people, a new exterior patio, a 5,000-square-foot roof terrace, three bars, and a simulcasting room which will feature a 33-foot projection screen.
The expansion is estimated to be completed by next spring.
