Vincent French Passes

Vincent L. French, 57 years of age, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 8 in Telchac Puerto, Yucatan

, Mexico.

French, was an employee of Northlands Park for 27 years, and the official starter for harness racing for the last 22 of those, until he chose to retire in the fall of 2008.

An accidental drowning claimed his life just eight short months into living in the Yucatan. He was happy in this beautiful place sharing a property jointly purchased in spring of 2008 with David and Mary Jungquist of Surrey, BC.

He will be missed by family, his partner of 21 years and the many friends he made during his career in harness racing.

Arrangements are pending while transport from the Yucatan is finalized.
