Trot Insider has learned that Huguette Berube-Sabourin, a well-known Hippodrome de Montreal Customer Service Representative, passed away recently after a
battle with cancer.
Huguette, the mother of former Hippodrome de Montreal Race Secretary Michel Sabourin, was always a great help to the local horsepeople and Hippodrome de Montreal patrons, alike.
She is survived by her husband, Marcel, his son, Michel (Diane), and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be taking place at Maison Funéraire F. Aubry et Fils Inc., 28 Saint-Michel, Vaudreuil-Dorion (telephone 450-455-3131) on Saturday, July 10 from 7: 00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday, July 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Monday, July 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
A prayer meeting will be held Sunday night.
Burial will be taking place Monday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rivière-Beaudette cemetery.

Mes plus sincères condoléances à Michel et à sa famille. Huguette était une personne avec qui il était très plaisant de travailler. Toujours de bonne humeur, elle faisait tout en son pouvoir pour aider ceux qui l'entouraient au travail comme ailleurs. Elle va nous manquer. Quant à toi Michel, j'espère qu'on va avoir l'occasion de se croiser bientôt. Mes sympathies encore.
