Meadowlands Pace Elims Drawn

The connections of 14 three-year-old pacing colts and geldings have entered their charges to contest this Saturday’s (July 11) eliminations for the $700,000 (estimated) Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace.

Seven-horse eliminations, each of which carries a purse of $50,000, have been carded as Race 6 and Race 11 on the Meadowlands Racetrack’s attractive program. The card will kick off with a special 5:30 p.m. first-race post time.

The top five finishers from each elimination will advance to the final. The winner of each elimination will have their starting spot for the final drawn between Post 1 and Post 6. The final will be contested on Saturday, July 18.

The Mistletoe Shalee drew 13 fillies, which, as per the conditions, resulted in byes to the top three seasonal earners (Bettor Be Steppin, Sassa Hanover and The Show Returns). A release from the Meadowlands states that ‘the remaining 10 fillies will race to eliminate three to get to 10 for the final.’ The elimination has been carded as Race 12. The winner of the elimination will have their post position for the final drawn from Post 1 through Post 6. The final will have a purse of just over $200,000.

The WR Haughton Memorial Free For All Pace drew nine declarations. The entrants will head straight to the $430,000 final, which will be raced on Saturday, July 18. The race will be drawn next week.
