The fifth annual Bring A Friend promotion is back at ten of your favourite tracks across Canada during the weekend of July 14-16. Along with all of the great offers and contests at the tracks, you also have a chance to win one of two fantastic Fan Club prize packages that we’re giving away!
All racing fans and their friends who sign-up/sign-in at their track’s on-site registration table will be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of two prize packages which include a $100 gift certificate to the racetrack of their choice and a $50 Fan Club prize package which includes some 250th Anniversary of Canadian Horse Racing swag.
The Bring A Friend promotion is a challenge for everyone involved in the industry to bring a friend to the harness races on this weekend. The friends should be people who have never been to the harness races or haven’t been in the past year. This is an opportunity for each and every one of us to make a difference and not only promote harness racing but to take the time and show someone new the ropes!
Willie Win got in on the action early. Check out this video of Willie taking his friend Flo to Mohawk Racetrack where he spent the evening helping her understand the basics of what goes on at the track. Willie showed Flo how to read a program, scout the horses in the post parade, make a bet and cheer their horse on to victory. They also had the chance to meet driver Jody Jamieson and get a photo taken!
Each track has planned different activities, contests, and draws to ensure members and friends get the VIP treatment and have a fantastic harness racing experience.
It’s time to invite your friends out to join you on your track’s Bring A Friend day. Let’s expose some new people to the sport and industry we all love and share our passion for harness racing.
Don’t forget to sign-in at your track’s registration table to be entered for the two prize packages!
Visit the Bring A Friend page to see a list of activities that each track is offering!
The July Zoom contest theme will be ‘Friends at the Races.’ Watch for details later this week.
