Officials with Horse Racing New Brunswick would like to remind horsepeople that live racing is scheduled to return to Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock, NB on Friday, August 3.
The card will get underway with a post time of 6:30 p.m.
A full slate of sponsored races will be capped off by the extremely popular Kelti Burnett Memorial Invitational, which will carry a purse of $5,000. This year’s race will be sponsored by McCain Foods and Corey Ford of Woodstock.
Eagles Nest and Houlie’s Hometown Pub of Fredericton will co-sponsor the back-up class, which will feature a $2,000 purse.
The widely-supported race card will be held on the traditional Friday night of Woodstock’s Old Home week festivities. Minimum purse will be $1,150.
As with years past, there will be a purse increase from the wonderful sponsors who help make the card so very successful.
Horsepeople are reminded to keep an eye out for the condition sheet, which will be appearing soon. Make plans to attend!
